Rundu e’ una piccola citta’ che si trova esattamente a meta’ strada tra Bagani e l’Etosha National Park. E’ un’ottima tappa per spezzare in due il lungo trasferimento. Sulla riva meridionale del fiume Okavango c’e’ il Sarasungu River Lodge (S 17 53,448’ E 19 46,911’), un tranquillo campeggio situato nel bel mezzo di una foresta di eucalipto.Oggi per la prima volta dopo sei mesi di viaggio mi sono sentito un po’ solo. Forse inizio ad avere nostalgia di casa. Di sicuro mi mancano gli amici. Mi piacerebbe tornare in Italia per un giorno e passare una bella serata insieme a loro e scambiare quattro chiacchere e bere vino e ridere e fare tardi. Comunque so che prima o poi tornero’ indietro e li potro’ rivedere. Nel frattempo saluto tutti e ringrazio tutti quelli che mi sono stati vicino in questi mesi con i loro messaggi e le loro e-mail e mi hanno fatto sentire un po’ meno solo in questo paese cosi’ lontano e diverso dal nostro.

Rundu is a small town half way between Bagani and the Etosha National Park. It’s a very good stop for a relaxing break during the long journey. On the southern bank of the Okavango River is Sarasungu River Lodge (S 17 53,448’ E 19 46,911’), a quiet campsite in the middle of a eucalyptus forest.For the first time today after six months of travelling I felt myself alone. Maybe I’m homesick. I miss my friends, that’s for sure. I would like to find myself in Italy for just one day and spend an evening with them talking, drinking and revelling till the wee hours. Well, sooner or later I’ll be back home and I will see them. For the time being, I say hello to everybody, with special thanks to those who have been in touch with me by SMS and email. They make me feel like I’m not alone in this country, so far and different from Italy.
