La pioggia non mi ha concesso un attimo di tregua, cosi', invece di arrivare a Bloemfontein, mi sono duvuto fermare a Kimberley. Anche questa volta non sono riuscito a raggiungere la meta che mi ero prefissato. E' incredibile come gli eventi atmosferici condizionino la vita quando ci si sposta in sella ad una motocicletta. Ma fa parte del gioco ed e' proprio quest'imprevedibilita' e questa fragilita' che rende questo tipo viaggio cosi' unico e bello. Kimberly e' una piccola cittadina del Northern Cape e deve la sua fortuna ai famosi diamanti che sono stati rinvenuti nel corso del secolo scorso nella sua ricca miniera ed e' famosa per il suo grande buco (S 28 44,399' E 24 45,324') e per la sua grande torre. Vi lascio immaginare il resto...

Well, in the end I made it to where I was at. It’s incredible how the weather can change your plans when you’re riding a bike. The rain didn’t stop, not even for a minute, so instead of cruising as far as Bloemfontein I had to stop in Kimberley. This Northern Cape small town is famous for the diamonds that were dug in its mine, as well as for its big hole (S 28 44,399' E 24 45,324') and its huge tower. I won’t tell you about the rest…
