Jo'burg - Swaziland

black napolean

my cousin aidan really liked my bike gear.

aunty sue and beardo weirdo

such a cool idea.

We cruised from joburg for Swaziland. we foud ourselves in africa again. cows roaming around the border post. we stayed at my aunty, sue dowding. with her husband tom and aidan her son. it was so wonderful to see some family again. after 7 months of being on the road. we drank lots of tea, chilled out and visited some of her many artistic friends in and around the capital. i was so inspired by all the creative energy there that i decided to get into wood carving. we visited house on Fire. which is a family run theatre and creatve hub. and african goudesque/hindusim feel to the place. they also did these beautiful wood carvings that were receiving astounding sucess nationally. it is so wonderful to see contemporary artists embracing local culture and creating fresh work.
