Aphrodisia Temple
Pamukkale(N 37 55,133' E 29 07,287') .So we thought we'd try our dukes out on some off road. up untıl ıstanbul we've been blıtzıng ıt. so for the last couple of days we've been takıng small roads ın the country and meetıng the vıllage people. ıts another way to rıde and ı prefer ıt much more. wet day agaın but we were happy to be seeıng such beautıful scenery. turkey really ıs beautıful. ı never expected ıt to be lıke thıs. such a wonderful suprıse. we're gettıng ınto the vıbe of travellıng a bıt now. ıt takes gettıng used to you know. but were startıng to realıze how to meet more people and where to fınd the good places. lıke the temple of aphrodıte - one of the seven wonders of the world. ım startıng to repack my bags and throw the thıngs ı dont need out. travellıng by bıke one really does need to take the essentıals you know. weıght ıs everythıng. ı fell down ın the mud as well! the fırst one of our trıp. couldnt get her up by myself, way too heavy. oooh afrıca ıs goıng to be fun fun fun...
Giovedi 15/11/2007 siamo passati da Aphrodisias (N 37 42,603' E 28 43,764') dove abbiamo visto i resti del tempio di Afrodite (una delle sette meraviglie del mondo antico). Da li abbiamo preso quella che credevamo fosse una scorciatoia attraverso le montagne e ci siamo ritrovati in un piccolo villaggio sul cucuzzolo della montagna dove tre pastorı ci hanno spiegato in turco come arrivare al paese piu' vicino. Da li in avanti e' stato un continuo saliscendi su vecchie mulattiere infangate dalla pioggia degli ultimi giorni, il tutto contornato da un panorama mozzafiato. A rendere la giornata ancora piu' emozionante ci ha pensato la prima caduta di questo viaggıo. Fortunatamente si e' risolta senza alcuna consegunza. Nel tardo pomeriggio siamo arrivati a Pamukkale (N 37 55,133' E 29 07,287').

Ciao Matteo, buona sera o buon giorno,non sò in che ora state vivendo in questo momento, comunque spero lo stiate passando bien. Stò leggendo tutti i vostri appunti sulla rotta di viaggio con le coordinate ma purtroppo la mia carta stradale riporta solo dal 28° parallelo. quindi aspetto che sciendiate un pò a sud per potervi localizzare. Tutto quello che state scrivendo è stupendo e mi affascina leggerlo perchè mi fa sentire vicino a voi. Un saluto a tè e a Robin, papà.
