Tsumeb e' una citta' tranquilla. Quando sono arrivato era domenica e in giro per le strade non c'era proprio nessuno. Sembrava una citta' fantasma.Questo piccolo paese e' conosciuto per essere vicino all'Etosha National Park e per la ricchezza di minerali presenti in questa zona. Dieci dei 184 diversi tipi di minerali che sono stati rinvenuti qui non si trovano in nessun'altra parte al mondo.Mi sono sistemato al Mousebird Backpackers (S 19 14,813' E 17 43,057') dove ho ritrovato Carlo, un italiano della Garfagnana che ha iniziato due anni e mezzo fa il giro del mondo in autostop. Questo sistema di trasporto sembra funzionare, infatti e' dal Malawi che riesce a mantenere il mio stesso passo.

Tsumeb is a quiet village. It was Sunday when I arrived and nobody was around. It was like a ghost town.This small village is well known because it is near Etosha National Park and for the minerals that can be found around here. Ten of the 184 minerals in this area cannot be found anywhere else in the world.I found an accommodation at Mousebird Backpackers (S 19 14,813' E 17 43,057') and there I met Carlo once again. He’s an Italian from Garfagnana who started a trip around the world two years ago. Well, hitchhiking seems to work: he’s been travelling at my speed since Malawi!
