my new foot peg. what do you reckon Mr Pier Terrblanche? could i get a job designing motorbikes?

this bad road was the baddest

what a view

give deep sand anyday

we' finished lake turkana. but we still had to get out of it! apparelntly there was a killer hill leading up to an escarpment. 35km long. the ktm guys opted to take a truck to the top with there bikes, but not the ducati team! we started out the day early in the morning. there was a fierce headwind that brough the bikes crashing down. we had to travel at around 10-20km/h cos of the bad track conditions. large large rocks. it was tiring work. possible the hardest we had faced in all the 4 days of debauchery. i think we were so pumped up from the last couple onf days and we had been expeciting a toucvh time on this road. that when we were there it was easy. cos our expectations were so high by that point that we actually beat that darn hard hill with our minds. its a real mental battle out there and it goes far beyond the physics of bike, rider and track conditions. we stopped off that night at a wonderful camp run by a british woman called patt. she gave us all the tlc we needed. we were lucky enough to witness the samburu warriors dancing in the village. a rare mating dance where the young warriors show off to the eligible woman of the tribes. they dressed up rather like birds and the girls did this funny movement with their neck when they danced. it was a wonderful event to witness.

Colonna sonora: “Perfect” Alanis Morissette
